Founding Sales

PROJECT Serial entrepreneur, Peter Kazanjy, wrote a book and decided to forgo the normal publishing house route to do it himself. I turned his Google Doc into a 420 page published book and a ebook website, in addition to creating related marketing materials.

Project Scope:
Branding
420 page printed book
Ebook-style Website: FoundingSales.com
Marketing Materials

CONCEPT We wanted to avoid falling into the common look of most business related books—large font with a basic image on a mostly white background in order to connote the “importance” and “seriousness” of the subject. The Client wanted something a bit bolder than that—something that would stand out, but would still speak to its subject. We landed on the image of a wave crashing because it spoke to both the Orange County origins of the author, and more importantly, how it relates to what it’s like to start a new business. When you’re starting a business it’s really a slow process, but then suddenly, if your idea is good, things can move very quickly, and you need to not only move quickly, but adapt quickly to changes, too, which is not unlike when you’re catching and then surfing a wave.
